Medium Explored Our Forms of Expression

Creatives explore their artistic voices via drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, architecture, performance art, dance, music, and more. We can dig down further to find watercolor, oil, graphite, charcoal, digital art, mixed media, and many more.

In early June of 2025, York, PA, explored eight different forms of creative expression during Medium, a collection of eight presentations focusing on various art mediums, curated by Andrew Smith of Visual Realia, LLC. The series was part of the PCA&D Work/Space program, an outreach by the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.

A wide range of events will be held on June 28th and 29th to commemorate Hanover's memorable historical place.

Those other two books — John V. Jezierski’s “Enterprising Images,” about York’s three Goodridge brothers who became pioneering Black photographers, and Daisy Myers’ autobiography “Sticks ’n Stones” — had a national scope. All three books — Jezierski’s, Myers’ and “Almost Forgotten” — tell about the Black experience in York County in three literary forms: biography, autobiography and general history, respectively.”
